My take away from this issue of X-Force is that Domino needs Colossus like she needs a hole in the head.
Cable #1 Is Gunning for Greatness
It’d be easy to chalk it up to lowered expectations, but somehow Cable #1 is the best book of the week and that fact is blowing my mind.
Dark Agnes #1: You Will Remember Her
Look, I love a lady with a sword. I love a good bit of wordplay. I am an extremely easy mark where Dark Agnes #1 is concerned.
Patreon Exclusive: Transforming the Narrative: An Analysis of The Transformers: The IDW Collection – Phase One, Volume One
Each month, we will be publishing exclusive essays by our contributors on various topics. In our first Patron-exclusive essay, Doris V. Sutherland explored the 2018-2019 run on Wonder Woman by G. Willow Wilson. This month, Nola Pfau takes on The Transformers: For those not in the know, 2018 wrapped up a thirteen-year span of Transformers…
X-Force #8: Difficult To Quantify
When last we left X-Force, Domino was chasing her Dominoppelganger across the world, attempting to restore her diminished luck powers. This issue: the hunt is on.
The ABC Murders Are Batman
Powered by the will of a promise he’s made to those he’s lost, a man reinvents himself as a detective, and a famous one at that. Upon a chance acquaintance with this detective, a man for whom too many excuses have been made pushes himself a step further, becoming a deranged killer with an overwhelming…
Previously On Comics: One Headache After Another
Good morning! Ya girl’s been nursing a hell of a migraine, so I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. Batgirl and Motor Crush artist Babs Tarr is having an exhibition at Gallery Nucleus in March! If you’re in the LA area, you should check it out. THERE’S GONNA BE A FOLLOW UP TO REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA, ALERT…
X-Force #7: The Calculus of Luck
X-Force has not been kind to Domino, thus far. With X-Force #7, it doesn’t look like the odds are going to be tipping in her favor any time soon.
X-Force #6: Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum
The mutants’ very own CIA continue their exploits in X-Force #6, stopping an attempted…Santa assassination? OR DO THEY.
Previously On Comics: An Industry Polarized
Good morning! It’s time for another Previously. A new Black Widow ongoing has been announced via IGN! The series has Kelly Thompson handling the writing with Elena Casagrande on art duties. It’s good timing, with the movie coming out soon. Supposedly it’s meant to be a largely stand alone book, and accessible, per Thompson. As…
X-Force #5 Takes an Eye for an Eye
After the cliffhanger of last issue, X-Force #5 gives us pure action the entire way through, which is good, since it feels like we’ve been waiting for a resolution to this since last year. [CHORUS OF BOOS. —Ed.]
Previously On Comics: Do Some Research Next Time
I’m coming back off of a rough weekend of hard partying (I drank so much Martinelli’s Apple Cider, y’all) so I’m gonna be brief. Daniel Elkin has announced the introduction of a new comics journalism site, called SOLRAD, which is…so rad, as far as names go. The site includes a definition of the term, if…
