In the Katie the Catsitter books, our title character starts catsitting for an upstairs neighbor’s many, many cats, only to discover that she is a notorious supervillain. However, her neighbor is really an unsung hero, using “villainous” tactics to expose corruption in powerful corporations and institutions. Katie becomes her sidekick, and as their adventures continue in each volume of the series, more of their friends and family become involved with their heroics.
I’ve written for WWAC before about how much I enjoy this series, and the newest installment is just as delightful.
Katie the Catsitter: The Purrfect Plan is the fourth volume in the Katie the Catsitter series, and it picks up right where the third left off with some changed family dynamics among our cast of characters and some fallout from the appearance of a new superhero who happens to be someone we already know in disguise. In the fourth book, Katie and her growing team (which includes not only a lot of competent humans, but also 217 cats with unique skill sets) plan a heist to go up against a nauseating real estate developer who is hurting their city.
