Previously on Comics: GoFundMe, Godzilla, and Canada Post

Previously, On Comics banner

Hello from your Friendly Neighbourhood Previously editor! It’s a short round-up this week because December is busy, busy, busy.

First up, comics artist Matthew Clark is recovering from a triple bypass surgery and has started a GoFundMe to help with hospital bills. Please do consider donating, if you can. Here is the link to his GFM page.

Godzilla has been tearing up the big screen off late and now he’s coming to a comic book near you. Hollywood Reporter shared news about a Marvel Comics crossover event where Godzilla will face off against Marvel superheroes, in time for his 70th anniversary next year. Whether Godzilla is fighting the Fantastic Four or the X-Men, my bet is on Godzilla.

Canadian comics readers have had a disruptive December reading experience due to the Canada Post strike. But that could be changing soon according to a new Toronto Star report, with postal workers being ordered back to work this week without having their concerns addressed. Sigh.

That’s it for now. It’s the holiday season and I hope you’re all enjoying yourself and staying warm. For many, the holiday season is a difficult time, emotionally. Take care of yourselves the best way you can. And Happy Holidays.
