In the pages of the comics, he had his own company and all of the gadgets that come with it swiped from under his nose by his archenemy – the premise of “Joker War”, a big-event storyline spearheaded by writer James Tynion IV and artist Jorge Jiménez. In the real world, meanwhile, the character faced adversity of a different sort.
