Hannah Means-Shannon, formerly of Bleeding Cool and Dark Horse, released a statement across her social media feeds detailing the circumstances surrounding her decision to hand in her notice and the current situation at Heavy Metal.
Litebox.com launched its first project — a website showcasing the rates of various cartoonists and illustrators. Litebox also allows contributors to include details on whether or not they were paid and the length of time the payment took. The creators of Litebox hope this will be a step toward consistent wage transparency.
After 15 years online ComicbookDB.com will be shutting down in December to make way for a ‘new and improved tool for collectors.’ Comics news, reviews, and opinion site The MNT will also be closing up shop at the end of November. Again it’s unclear for how long.
