REVIEW: Excalibur #15 – When the Citadel Calls, Captain Britain Must Answer
The tournament started in Excalibur #14, so it’s only fair that by #15 it’s over and Krakoa has won. But that isn’t the end to the threat as the Annihilation helm has decided that it does not wish to play by the rules.
REVIEW: Cable #6 Rises High, as its Hero Falls Low
X of Swords rages on, and since the last time we checked in with everyone’s favorite time-tossed tactical teen…a whole lot of shit happened. Cable #6 is Chapter 19 of the event when Cable #5 was Chapter 8, so it might be more than a little jarring if you are a reader who, for ...
REVIEW: Wolverine & X-Force Keep The Pace
I’ve been thinking a lot about pacing. Understanding pacing is critical to the telling of a good story; you have to understand intrinsically where to seed a twist, when to add a reveal. It’s the work of practice and care, and it’s been a topic of note since this event began; ...
REVIEW: EXCALIBUR #14 – Fell To Pieces and I’m Still Falling

Saturnyne’s game is afoot, but, while the rest of the Swords are finding their own ways to enjoy the eve of battle in Marauders #14, Logan’s being a killjoy.
REVIEW: X-Men #14 is a Rerun Instead of a Remix
For once, I have very little to say about a new issue of X-Men. That’s because X-Men #14 isn’t really a new issue of X-Men. Not entirely.
REVIEW: Excalibur #13 – A Drawing of the Blades
As we fast approach X of Swords: Stasis, the champions of Krakoa still have four swords to retrieve. Two of these swords are meant for the Braddock twins, and we see their quest to claim them in Excalibur #13.
REVIEW: Family Road Trip-Meets-Alien in Cable #5
X of Swords is here! The sprawling 22-part epic has arrived and, surprising no one, Krakoa’s favorite psychic teenager with a big space-sword is joining the party. As it is with most event tie-in comics, the question is how well it succeeds as both a piece of the XoS event and an issue of ...
