The DC Daily Planet: Crisis Not Averted

Happy Friday, caped crusaders! I don’t know about you, but this week has been all uphill over here. Fortunately, it’s almost over, and we can all party for the weekend! My place at 8, bring margaritas, okay?

Have you ever wanted a plush, snuggly Batman to call your own? To cuddle, or to wave in someone else’s face while faking horrible laryngitis and telling them this is your town? Bleacher Creatures has got your back!

Bleacher Creatures Batgirl DC Comics October 2014These plush figures will feature characters from the classic Batman series (like Babs, here), Man of Steel‘s Supes, and comic-book-flavor Teen Titans and Harley Quinn. I think I may need all of them. And then we can have tea parties!

Speaking of the Titans, Geoff Johns tweeted something interesting yesterday:

Hey! I am a fan of both those things! And I’m also a fan of this news: that the Titans may be getting their own live-action TV show on TNT!

Johns namedrops Nightwing, and the article mentions Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg, so the current theory is that the show (not unlike Teen Titans, my second favorite Saturday morning cartoon) will be based on Marv Wolfman and George Perez’ The New Teen Titans, the popular run from the ’80’s.

I am most curious as to how they’ll manage Starfire’s hair. Green screen? Hair-flipping ninjas? Both?

I wasn’t kidding.

Less exciting: there will be a new Crisis event that will rock the DC Universe to its foundations or something.

Yawn.

Because DC doesn’t know what final means.
