According to Variety, Women in Animation will be launching their six month mentorship program in October until March as a pilot program. The goal of the project is to help mentor women in the arts, science and business of the animation industry and their focus will be inclusion of women in the field. The pilot program will only take place in Los Angeles but, once successful, it’ll expand to the other WIA groups around the globe.

“We are excited to launch the mentoring program and look forward to helping each participant develop the professional skills and knowledge she needs to succeed in the animation industry,” WIA co-president Kristy Scanlan said in a statement.
