World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #16 features our titular heroines diving into some fresh summer action. The issue’s new story, “Put a Cork in It,” features Betty and Veronica accidentally freeing a fun-loving genie from her bottle. As you can see from the two-page preview below, things don’t go swimmingly for our heroines, as the genie’s way more interested in having fun and getting with Veronica and Betty’s supply of guys than granting wishes, leaving them to struggle to cram her back into her bottle.
We have a two-page preview of “Put a Cork in It” below. It’s got pencils and a story by Bill Gollhier, inks by Bob Smith, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and letters by Jack Morelli. Also included is a preview of the Bingo Wilkin (the cool cousin of Jughead and Michael J Fox lookalike) story “That Wilkin Boy,” with art and a story by Dan Parent, inks by Bob Smith, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and letters by Jack Morelli, and the full story “Cool Your Heels.” In the latter, Betty heads to Veronica’s place to beat the heat and Ronnie must work overtime to chill her hot friend out. It features writing by Kathleen Webb, art by Dan DeCarlo, and letters by Bill Yoshida.
