The former tale takes a spin through a single week at Riverdale High, in which Betty and Veronica both yearn to get a little alone time with Archie. Mimeographed smash notes, detention, and a cute transfer student conspire to make it a memorable five-day period. Be Your Valentine features the writing talents of Dan Parent, as well as his art. Bob Smith provides the inks, Glenn Whitmore the colors, and Jack Morelli the lettering. Locker Lore features writing from Mike Pellowski, art by Tim Kennedy, inks by Rudy Lapick, letters by Bill Yoshida, and colors by Frank Gagliardo.
