Win An Advance Copy of Cassandra Clare’s Lady Midnight
Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters series is a very popular young adult franchise that has already had a movie and television adaptation. With two series under its belt, we’re getting ready for some sun and a cold drink with Clare’s newest series, The Dark Artifices, which is set in Los Angeles. Lady Midnight is the first book and I was told that new readers can just jump in even if they haven’t read The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices. Here’s a synopsis:
The Shadowhunters of Los Angeles star in the first novel in Cassandra Clare’s newest series, The Dark Artifices, a sequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series. Lady Midnight is a Shadowhunters novel.
It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.
Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…
Making things even more complicated, Julian’s brother Mark—who was captured by the faeries five years ago—has been returned as a bargaining chip. The faeries are desperate to find out who is murdering their kind—and they need the Shadowhunters’ help to do it. But time works differently in faerie, so Mark has barely aged and doesn’t recognize his family. Can he ever truly return to them? Will the faeries really allow it?
Glitz, glamours, and Shadowhunters abound in this heartrending opening to Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices series.
I was lucky enough to get an advance reader’s copy from Simon & Schuster Canada along with some goodies but I thought that a fan would appreciate it more than I would.

February 26, 2016 at 10:43 amThe infernal devices is my favorite book series. I fell in love with Jem Carstairs. I first fell in love with the shadow hunter world early in high school and it’s been awesome to grow with it and I can’t wait till Lady Midnight! I would LOVE to win this and share it with my cousin, we both have parabatai necklaces, because we were lucky enough to have been born 3 years apart and grow up as sisters without the sibling rivalry. Thank you for sharing this post!!

February 26, 2016 at 9:58 amLady Midnight was my most highly anticipated book of 2015…and then it got pushed back and became my most highly anticipated book of 2016 (and that’s saying something, because I highly anticipate A LOT) of books. Cassie Clare hasn’t let me down yet, and I’m sure this book is going to be just as amazing as her previous works.

February 25, 2016 at 6:41 pmWow, thanks for holding such an amazing giveaway! I love the Shadowhunters series, and I can’t wait for this next installment! Each snippet I’ve read from Lady Midnight keeps amping my excitement! Plus, I love that readers were introduced to the main characters in it the last book of TMI series. I feel like I already have a connection with them, and I can’t wait to pick up their story since they’re now older! Also, it’ll be great to check in on the characters from her pervious two series and see how they’re doing now! 😀

February 25, 2016 at 4:34 pmI became a fan of The Infernal Devices trilogy and The Mortal Instruments series about five and a half years ago. When I first started reading the TMI series the first three books were already published. I finished all three in about a week around the end of summer and then for Christmas I got Clockwork Angel, the first book in the TID trilogy. I fell in love with the world and cared deeply for the characters Cassie Clare created and was so excited to hear that she would be writing more. Thank you for the giveaway!!!!!
