Here’s some queer comics news to brighten your week—Luciano Vecchio’s Sereno will soon be available as a book collection for the first time. Vecchio is an artist and writer known for his work on numerous DC and Marvel comics.

If you’re a Weezer fan and love art, Alec Longstreth has shared a delightful Twitter thread previewing some of the tour visuals he’s created for Weezer’s upcoming tour.

In unpleasant news, last week there was yet another announcement about layoffs. This time, it’s Inverse that has laid off a large number of their writers, as shared by Jacob Kleinman, Inverse’s executive editor.

More sad news in the comics world. Artist Ian McGinty has died at the age of 38. There’s been a lot of discussion online about exploitation and burnout in the comics industry since the news broke with many people using the hashtag #ComicsBrokeMe to share their stories. There really needs to be an overhaul in the way the industry works but should it take someone’s death for people to realise it? Will anything change at all?

A little dash of positivity for comics creators—the Massachusetts Independent Comic Expo (Mice) has opened their mini-grants applications for this year. Grant winners receive the opportunity to have their work distributed by Radiator Comics.

To end on a high note, J. Michael Straczynski shared images from the Babylon 5 animated film. Entitled Babylon 5: The Road Home has got quite a few fans in a tizzy, including some WWAC-ers, so enjoy the stills from the tweet below.
