Alternatives to Universal Fan Con

While some people are considering their options in terms of legal action following the sudden cancellation of Universal Fan Con and its questionable organization, many fans, artist, and vendors  who still believe in the spirit of the event — and are still stuck with flights and hotels to Baltimore — are rallying to make this weekend happen in some form or another. We’ve rounded up a list of alternatives for anyone that will still be in the Baltimore area next weekend. WICOMICON

WICOMICON Pop-Up 2018 is a pop-up put together by Nerds of Color, Black Heroes Matter, and many other organizations in the fallout of Universal Fan Con. Taking place in a historic building in Baltimore, WICOMICON  will host many artist, vendors, panelist, and creatives that were slated to be at Universal Fan Con. So if you are a Fan Con ticket holder, Vendor, Panelist, or just someone who loves supporting creatives and are in the Baltimore area next weekend make your way to WICOMICON.

Saturday, April 28 from 10am to 7pm. $10 at the door ($5 for FanCon ticket holders)

FAM CON Live

Universal Artist Alley

A virtual artist alley for creatives and vendors who were stuck with inventory after the con was cancelled was set up on tumblr. There you can scroll through and purchase prints, comics, pins, and other merchandise  from vendors and help them recoup the money they invested. Check it out here:
