Hey WWAC readers! What comics did you buy this week? Are you all returning from a convention right now?
The San Diego Comic Con has come to an end, but the excitement continues as the news spreads to fans everywhere. Several of our WWAC writers and editors were a part of the festivities, so I’m sure you’ll here more in the coming week. Let’s take a look at some of the great things announced over the last week, before and during the great convention.
With the continued success of comic book movies, we can look forward to many more in the coming years. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract was announced at the opening of the controversial Killing Joke World Premiere. Brie Larson was revealed as Captain Marvel, who will also be the first female Marvel superhero to get her own movie. New trailers were debuted for Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Fantastic Beasts. The cult classic Plutona may also be coming to the big screen. Deadly Class from Image Comics is set to be adapted to a television series as well.
Speaking of comic book television series, The Walking Dead let fans catch a glimpse of King Ezekiel.
Comic adaptations are also looking pretty interesting in the coming months. Stone Cold Steve Austin’s cover has been revealed. The Lost Boys, many people’s favorite vampire cult film, may continue into comic form. KISS is returning to the drawn page. Dark Horse will also bring Slayer to the comic world.
