What was great about working with a professional artist was how she helped capture the spirit of what I was trying to accomplish, but helped me see things from a more objective, practical eye. Originally, Miu wasn't going to have any facial expressions other than a smile - sort of like a puppet. His emotions would have to be demonstrated by his body language. Rachel really convinced me that that wouldn't carry over in the medium or with children. And I think his expressions help really make Miu even more fun.
