#RomanceRevisited Caption Contest: We Have a Winner!

1

For the inaugural #RomanceRevisited caption this contest, our readers successfully summoned their inner Golden Age romance comic writers and crafted some truly superb submissions. Captions for our consideration were so appropriately bizarre, we could have sworn at least one of you wrote First Love Illustrated #88. Having received the most likes, here is the winning entry!

“There’s nothing like a good tonsil massage for a single woman in the city. Come to think of it, I too could use one.” – Dre Grigoropol

Congratulations, Dre! Having accepted the prize, our winner will soon receive a hardcover copy of  Young Romance: The Best of Simon & Kirby’s Romance Comics. May it bring them tears of sadness and many more chortles.

We will surely host more “caption this” contests in the future, so rest assured dear readers, your talents for creating non-sensical commentary will not go to waste. Until then, enjoy the many snark-filled contest entries on our Facebook page. Your chance to win may have passed, but feel free to leave your own belated caption in the comment section below. And keep your eye on @womanoncomics, where #romancerevisited continues irregularly (we treat you mean to keep you keen)!
