For Christmas one year, my friends got me a Razer Naga gaming mouse. When I picked up my monthly requirements a short while later, my husband was confused. “Why did you buy another gaming mouse?”
“This isn’t a gaming mouse, dear. These are gaming tampons.”
Turns out, my little joke isn’t too far from the mark. Right now at the San Diego Comic Con, Kotex, the menstrual hygiene company, is all about embracing geek culture and proudly and humourously acknowledging that many people — even geeks — bleed. Once a month. From our vaginas.
I know some people don’t like to hear about this harsh reality, but Kotex isn’t here to coddle your squicky feelings.

If you’re hanging out at SDCC, be sure to visit the Kotex ambassadors for free samples or just to hang out. Because everyone can be a #Uhero.
